Food Festival Chinatown aka 'Chợ Lớn Food Story' ** Explored another alley food stall to get Baoz 😋
Saturday afternoon bus ride from District 1 to Chinatown District 5 to check out the (2nd annual) food festival. I learned about this event through another local channel.
What an adventure--to face the maddening traffic in D 5. At one point I started to doubt if I would 'dare' to cross the traffic pouring down from the Nguyen Tri Phuong bridge!. I have to rely on crossing this traffic by go along with other motorbikes crossing the same direction as I do. A big relief and gained a 'new strategy' how to cross the 'infamous' traffic in HCMC😅.
In hindsight, I was glad that I decided to 'stop in' to check out the food festival. Also, it was a good decision that I bought some substantial baoz and a variety types of dumplings to take to her house for snacks. I thought there may be a chance she would not go to the food fest due to extreme crowds.
The ally walk was a tranquil breakaway from the crazy traffic--which was only steps away. As usual, exploring alleys and back streets are one of my favorite past time.
Enjoy!
