Ok, so yes, this whole mess started in the 1920s when we collectively decided to turn the human body (which is gloriously weird, all the time) in to FaShUn 💅🏻 and jumped head first into mass manufacturing and capitalism, but we really need to have a serious look at the absolute insanity that was the early 2000's war on pockets (i am totally serious) through magazine articles, stupid low rise jeans, and skinny jeans. Luckily, for right now, things are getting better - between looser fit pants and dresses/skirts, women's clothing finally has better pockets than the past 20 years (that is of course, unless you're shopping at fast fashion retailers, cause then it's a crap shoot of properly size pockets)
Also, man was it just me or was that 1940s film about clothing manufacturing and unions just *soooo interesting* like wow...unions...must be nice I wonder what happened...🧐
