Fixing an ink bleed during screen printing
How to fix a bleed of ink when your are screen printing. Ink bleeds are probably one of the most common problems beginners have screen printing. An ink bleed occurs when too much ink is pushed through the stencil. The ink is squeezed out under the stencil causing the printable marks to grow. A bleed can either be subtle or obvious; a subtle bleed will make your marks visibly wider. An obvious bleed looks like a thinner layer of ink, like a stain or pool of color around the marks. A stain can occur for a number of reasons, but the most likely is holding the squeegee at too flat of an angle during the print stroke or the flood stroke.
