People seem to like it when YouTubers get all vulnerable and honest, so I thought I'd give it a go!
In this video, I'm talking about burn out. I've been feeling a bit lately, owing largely to my son waking up every night at 3am; though there is some other stuff going on, too. I'm also injured.
This is also a learning opporunity, though. How does burnout happen? Why is it especially prevalent among those that regularly go to the gym? What can we do to prevent it and/or recover quickly?
I share my own experiences, as well as what I'm doing to overcome burnout. And I talk a bit about neurochemistry, because it wouldn't be The Bioneer, otherwise.
Ultimately, I find that energy tends to come in cycles. You have seasons of high output and periods where you need to take it easy. It's usually not a big deal, as long as you're sensible and you look after yourself.
Have you guys experienced burnout? How do you deal with it?
