The Grammar-Translation Method (GTM) is the classic way of teaching “dead” languages which fails to satisfy the needs of the modern language classroom. In the first part of this video, Prof. Dr. Aydan Ersöz dealt with the translation aspect. In this video, she focuses on the «grammar» aspect which is highly complex and abstract for learners, and should never be taught in isolation.
