Fabio - A Stateless Load Balancer
Fabio makes deployment and refactoring of micro services trivial by providing a stateless and high-performance load balancer based on the services registered in consul. Every service change automatically reconfigures fabio without restart and without noticeable latency. Fabio solves the problem of managing an ever changing landscape of small services in a continuous deployment and delivery pipeline by automating the configuration of a critical component - the load balancer. Written in Go and deployed as a static binary which can be run without any configuration fabio applies HashiCorps approach for simple but powerful tools. Fabio is currently driving some of The Netherlands largest websites, including www.marktplaats.nl. ------------ Frank Schröder is a software engineer with 25 years of experience and has been passionate about distributed systems since he started working for Netscape in 1997. He currently works as an architect building world-wide shared services for the eBay Classifieds Group in Amsterdam where he leads a team of ten developers working on several projects. He enjoys focussing on scaling and automation by trying to build the simplest thing that can possibly work. He programs mostly in Go which is his language of choice since 2011 and his team is one of the largest Go developer groups in The Netherlands. -- If you liked this video and want to see more from HashiCorp, subscribe to our channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/HashiCorp?sub_confirmation=1 To learn more, visit our hands-on interactive lab environment, HashiCorp Learn: https://learn.hashicorp.com/ HashiCorp is the leader in multi-cloud infrastructure automation software.
