Exposing the Lies at EUROBIKE: Fake Claims, Crazy Hubs and Me Losing Patience
Join me as I trawl through the leftovers at EUROBIKE. These are the bits the influencers didn’t bother filming because they weren’t paid to.
A few takeaways, assuming anyone’s still paying attention:
Two independent sources mentioned the Classified hub system has a power loss around 90 percent efficiency. That suggests a suppressed test exists somewhere, probably not shared with the GCN crowd. Between the high cassette prices and limited wheel compatibility, I reckon it’s destined for commercial obscurity.
I also spoke to Enduro. Their owner claimed their bearings are "as hard" as cheap ones, even though the actual numbers say otherwise. It’s staggering how much techno waffle gets peddled to clueless journos who happily reprint it like gospel.
Keep an eye on Nepest. They’re sniffing around for a European distributor. If they bring their mechanical focus with them, some of the big names might finally feel the heat.
The hubs from H-Works? Absolute muts nuts. I’ve got a set in for testing, full teardown coming on Patreon.
And yes, Rob Gitelis wasn’t thrilled when I asked a few awkward questions. That’s coming up next episode. Bring popcorn.
