Mitchell walks through Power BI’s new TMDL (Tabular Model Definition Language) view, a scripting interface that lets you edit semantic-model objects directly in Desktop. After turning on the preview feature, he shows how to drag tables and the entire model into the editor, tweak data-types, switch an import table to DirectQuery, and even paste reusable scripts for perspectives and calculation groups.
