Europe’s deepest lock - taking a busman’s holiday! #79

Whilst “stuck” in Porto waiting for the northerlies to pass through we decided to take a boat trip and go through Europe’s deepest lock…. A cruise along 60nm of the Douro River took us along the river, passing through deep locks, including the Carrapatelo Lock and up to a Quinta for a vineyard tour and some port wine tasting. All in all not a bad way to pass the time!
