Eps 1: Taking Apart A WW2 Minesweeper Ship's Generator For Scrap Brass and Copper $$$
Hi People!
This video is the first, in a series, that documents how I dismantled two generators to salvage the brass and copper. These types of generators were used during WW2 on North American naval ships, specifically minesweepers in this case, as backup generators. They have Cleveland diesel engines. The Cleveland Diesel Engine Division was created in 1938 from the GM owned Winton Engine Corp. It has 3 cylinders, and, I believe, 268 cubic inches per cylinder. That’s big.
