She was kind enough to reach out and share her story with me. She found this cedar chest, painted bright green, several years ago and decided to give it a furniture makeover of her own. She enjoyed using it in her own home for many years before it was damaged during a move. When she passed it on to me, I decided to remove the layers of paint and attempt to restore it back to original. After removing all the paint, I sanded this chest with various power sanders and hand sanding blocks. Then I applied tung oil to give this piece a natural look.
