Honeybee is a tool developed by Ladybug Tools that allow us to create and visualize daylight simulations using Radiance, energy models using Energy Plus and Open Studio applications. This tool is one of the most comprehensive plugins available for environmental design and today, we’re going to try to take a closer look at it and see what it’s capable of. This tutorial is going to cover the very basics and show the concept behind running a Sunlight analysis for a single room over the period of a single year. In the extended tutorial, we’re going to see how changing the orientation of the windows and adding various window blinds is going to affect our result. Of course, this all depends on the location that you choose to test out and the Sun path diagram that we created in the previous tutorial on Ladybug tools.
