Value chains and capability models are emerging as industry standard best practices for planning, improving, and monitoring enterprise investments. If these things are good for the business enterprise, shouldn’t we be able to apply them to describing an architecture capability? As our profession advances and matures, understanding the common activities all architects perform becomes more important. Can we identify those things that we all do, at whatever level we are applying architecture, or in whichever domains? The speaker will present an architecture value chain and a supporting capability/service model that attempts to address these questions.
