This video breaks down why you should never listen to Dr. Mike when it comes to form or workout technique. He may a phd but its in sports science not kinesiology or biomechanics. He uses worse form than a 16 year old kid in the gym for his first time. He just orients himself into end range positions instead of getting relative lengthening of the muscle during the eccentric. There is way too excessive use of the spine extensors, and no meaningful end range contraction. He has no rib control at all and works out in a way similar to a powerlifter instead of actually putting tension on the muscle through its actual range of motion.
Side note I definitely smoked a little too much weed prior to this. My apologies, I simply could not watch this many clips of Dr. Mike sober.
