If you work with a producer, want to get signed to a label, or have dreams of getting your music in movies and television, all three of these activities risk the loss of the exclusive rights to your music! Now I just want to say really quick that keeping 100% ownership of your music is not necessarily the right thing to do all the time. Sometimes it is good to trade part ownership of your songs in order to step-up in your career.
