Replacing quarter panels is undoubtedly a challenging task but after doing these for the first time I can tell you anybody can do this if they wanted to. The thing about quarter panels it's important what NOT to do and WHY to do the steps we do. At the same time you can choose how complicated you want it to get depending on how much rust you want to tackle. So the perspective we chose is: We are already saving a lot of money doing it ourselves, leaves use good materials (paints) and do the best we can. Yes this will take longer but it ensures a good long-lasting result. At the same time we can tackle the outer wheel houses and make sure they doesn't rust again. So in this video we are tacking: Quarter panels, outer wheel house replacement, rust removal, rust prevention/sealing, seam sealer and finally a lot of welding. So our 1972 Chevy Nova is getting new quarter panels, wheel houses and new paint job!
