With 2024 coming to a close and the bay area settling into winter, we thought that it'd be pertinent to bring you all faithful followers a couple more magical chapters of this #Discodelicos series. And for Session 16, we are extremely humbled and excited to present DJ Pope (aka Ayumi Nobe) at our Discodelic storefront stage!
Hailing from Tokyo, Japan, Ayumi is an avid fanatic of Latin American music, with a particular affinity to cumbia and salsa. She started her vinyl journey back in 2012, following her impulses to search for records throughout Mexico, Colombia, and Argentina. Since then, Ayumi has been invited to present sets internationally, dropping wax in the likes of Mexico, Germany, Austria, Spain, and the Netherlands.
This 44-minute set is a scorching showcase of some of Ayumi's favorite selections, representing sounds from throughout Central and South America.
