Diesel Injector Leak Off Test and Nozzle Clean DIY (Bosch Injectors for BMW M47 M57 engines)

How easy is it to check your BMW Bosch diesel injectors for good operation using a leak-off test and then clean the nozzles? Will ultrasonic cleaning work? Will high pressure washing work? What are the tricks to easy injector removal? How do we see the spray pattern to verify that it is good? How do we know if the needle valve is end-of-life?
