Decoding Lock Boxes with the “Notched Decoder” Method
My experience trying to use the “notched decoder” method for decoding some lockboxes. I had some trouble but eventually found a method that worked, which involved using a thin (0.015”) deep/postal hook instead of a notched decoder, and then finding the inner bar first by pushing down on its front to locate it, then maneuvering the hook (in a “scooping” motion) around/under the bar so the hook ends up definitely behind the bar, before finally pulling up with some force and then moving on to checking each number of a given dial wheel, looking for the one that’s “easy” to move compared to the nine others.
