In this tutorial, we walk you through the steps of connecting to and transforming data in Power Query Editor using the AdventureWorks dataset. Steps covered: Connect to AdventureWorks Product Category Lookup.csv and AdventureWorks Product Subcategory Lookup.csv tables. Rename the tables as Product Category Lookup and Product Subcategory Lookup. Ensure that column headers and data types are correctly set. Add a new column in the Product Lookup table to extract all characters before the first hyphen (–) in the Product SKU column and name it SKU Type. Update the SKU Type column to extract all characters before the second hyphen. In the Product Style column, replace all 0s with "NA". Close and load your data model to Power BI.
