Creating a sheet metal cone in Fusion 360
Creating a cone in sheet metal, which can be flattened for a pattern, is something you'll need to know a trick or two to do. Why? Well - Fusion 360's math assumes you are bending your sheet metal in a press brake - so it needs a flat, stationary surface from which it can calculate its bends - in this case, your cone. Until Fusion 360 adds addtional functionality to do this directly, here is a very good solution, which can also help you to understand how sheet metal works "under the hood." Good Luck!
