Welcome to the swampy side of the Force!
In this video, I recreate Luke Skywalker's X-Wing crash landing on Dagobah from The Empire Strikes Back, transforming a flat base into a cinematic Star Wars diorama-complete with murky resin water effects, misty trees, and realistic terrain.
I'll take you through the step-by-step process of building a scale model diorama, from shaping the landscape with foam board and sculpting materials, to detailing the trees with vines and weathering effects, and finally tackling my first-ever resin pour (spoiler: things didn't exactly go to plan).
Along the way, I'll share diorama building techniques, painting tips, and weathering tricks to bring the swampy world of Dagobah to life. Whether you're into Star Wars model making, terrain building, or resin water effects, there's something here for you!
Want to see more? Stay tuned for about next month's diorama, where we leave the galaxy far, far away and head to Oregon for a legendary treasure hunt.
