Cozy frosty day. Slow Living in a Country House. Sewing a dough cover & baking cinnamon buns
Step into a cozy cottagecore-inspired home on a frosty winter day, where the comforting aroma of freshly baked goods fills the air, and slow living takes center stage. The warmth of my kitchen, the soft hum of everyday tasks, and the peaceful rhythm of sewing create the perfect atmosphere for a tranquil day spent at home. In this video, I begin by gathering moss from my garden to create a rustic, spring-inspired arrangement for my kitchen. When the hyacinths' roots don't fit as planned, it's a gentle reminder that life doesn’t always go according to plan—and that’s part of the beauty of slow living. Next, I plant hyacinths in clay pots and sow statice and lobelia seedlings, eagerly anticipating the colorful blooms that will brighten my home and garden as we move into the new season. As the frost deepens outside, I bake warm apple and cinnamon rolls, filling the house with cozy, comforting aromas. The full recipe is in the description below, so you can recreate this heartwarming treat at home. While the dough rises, I also prepare a simple rosemary hair spray, a natural way to nourish my hair and bring a lovely herbal scent to my day. Inspired by today’s peaceful tasks, I sew a cozy dough-proofing cap from my favorite checkered fabric—another way to add warmth and charm to my home baking rituals. Sewing in a calm, slow-living environment is the perfect way to enjoy winter’s quiet beauty. Thank you for joining me on this cozy, home-centered winter day filled with baking, sewing, and DIY home decor. I hope these small, meaningful moments bring you inspiration and a sense of calm.
