Welcome to our first time watching as we react to Cloverfield (2008). Man what an insane rollercoaster this was. It had so many elements we absolutely loved. From the suspenseful storytelling, intense action sequences, and finally the mystery surrounding the monstrous creature wreaking havoc on New York City this movie had us engaged throughout! Including that juicy gossip about Travis in the beginning! Directed by Matt Reeves and produced by J.J. Abrams, "Cloverfield" follows a group of friends as they document their attempt to survive amidst a catastrophic attack by a towering creature. This movie was exactly what we were asking for a few weeks back when we wondered if there was a movie out there that took the Kaiju genre into the found footage style. And this was it! Everything we were hoping for this movie absolutely delivered.
