Climbing the Lagginhorn (4'010m) over the South Ridge in winter conditions, Switzerland
The Lagginhorn is a mountain 4'010m above sea level. The Lagginhorn towers up as a gently curving rocky ridge two kilometres long, running from S to N, between the Lagginjoch and Fletschjoch, and is notable for its width and the long bands of rock traversed by the remains of the Lagginhorn glacier. The northernmost upswing of the ridge forms the main summit. The south ridge is a great ridge tour that requires fitness and a head for heights, but is great fun. September, 2024.
