Christian Asks for 90 Seconds and *THIS* is What He Came Up With | Matt Dillahunty & Jimmy Snow

Theo calls in claiming he can prove Christianity is true. The hosts Matt and Jimmy offer him 30-90 seconds to make his argument. But first Theo sidetracks by asking them about the meaning of life, which leads to lengthy discussion of subjective vs objective meaning. Eventually Theo takes the 90 seconds but instead of directly defending Christianity, he talks about epistemology needing to be grounded in ontology. He references Kant and phenomenology but says nothing directly about Christianity. After the timer ends, the hosts point out his lack of Christian argumentation. They try to get him to demonstrate Christianity's truth independently of other religions. Theo brings up the Trinity and God's attributes, but the hosts keep pressing him to differentiate Christianity on its own merits. Theo is unable to put forth any coherent, independent argument, instead relying on obscure philosophical claims. Ultimately Matt and Jimmy determine that Theo is unwilling to simply admit he takes Christianity on faith since he can't justify it rationally apart from personal feelings.
