CHIPS MASALA RECIPE | KENYAN CHIPS MASALA
This chips masala recipe is to make and makes a perfect meal , appetizer or just a quick snack. The recipe is two part. You will need the prep both the chips (fries ) and the masala sauce. After you do that you will be rewarded with a fantastic meal that you and your family will definitely enjoy.
INGREDIENTS NEEDED
For the Chips ( Fries)
3 Large Russet / Idaho potatoes peeled, rinsed and cut into fries
Oil for frying
salt and pepper
For the Masala sauce
1 Large Red onion, peeled and thinly sliced
1 Tbs garlic, minced
1 Tbs Ginger, minced
1 red bell pepper , diced small
2 Ripe Tomatoes, diced
6 Curry leaves
1 Tsp Garam masala powder
1 Tsp Cumin powder
1 Tsp Coriander powder
1Tsp Paprika
1/4Tsp Chili flakes
1 Green Chili or jalapeno
1 Cup water
1 Tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 Tsp Honey or brown sugar
1 Lemon zested and juiced
1/4 Cup Cilantro, 2 scallions ( Green onion) for cooking and garnishing
Salt and pepper to taste
