Chinese Evergreen Aglaonema Plant Rescue and Propagation
The Chinese evergreen is a hardy, hard-to-kill, houseplant that has passed the test of time. It thrives in indirect light, but can tolerate low light. Chinese evergreens, also known as aglaonemas, are easy to maintain and easy to propagate. The problem with my Chinese evergreens, aglaonemas, is that they occasionally get infested with mealy bugs, and mealy bugs are very difficult to rid - especially if you allow an advanced infestation. This video is a plant rescue video where I saved a Chinese evergreen from an advanced infestation of mealy bugs with neem oil and dish washing liquid to drastic measures. Chinese evergreens are one of thee best houseplants because of easy maintenance and propagation. These plants purify indoor air by eliminating toxins and other harmful gases. Chinese evergreens are very toxic to people and animals, so if your pets like to chew on these plant, take steps to avoid poisoning.
