Learn how to program this old thing! A walkthrough and demo of the main parameters of the GX80 from Cherry Audio. Although it's got a fair few esoteric and unique functions, and looks a bit impenetrable at first, its got the same fundamental building blocks as most subtractive synths... plus a few rather mental extras like additional BP on an extra sawtooth and a HP on an additional pulse routing. Oh..and the there's a full synth voice per 'oscillator' with its own VCF and VCA and velocity/aftertouch settings. ... and there's 4 of them per voice. .. lots of fun to be had here.. so dig in. https://patreon.com/starskycarr Affiliate Links: Perfect Circuit https://www.pjtra.com/t/SENKTExLTUtDSEpJR0ZGQ0hJTUZHTA Thomann https://thmn.to/thocf/xpnsixr8gp Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/shop/starskycarr Reverb https://reverb.grsm.io/6mtwzga2a4ys Other places you’ll find me: ► Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/starskycarr ► Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/starskycarr ► Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/starskycarr ► Bandcamp https://starskycarr.bandcamp.com/releases ► Clubbing TV From the Studio: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYIYEC4M53KQs4FeYpCY51sHxoK2l2Z0O 0:00 what is it? 2:35 interface 4:05 oscillators 7:13 unison 8:30 filters 9:31 filter envelope 11:30 synth bass 12:06 VCA 12:48 pan 13:40 4 oscillator patch 15:13 aftertouch and velocity 16:38 1 voice 2 sounds 17:40 some pads 18:19 ring mod 19:30 Sub Oscillator *it's an LFO 20:18 Feet *interval tuning 20:45 tone selectors 21:21 keyboard as mod source 21:47 effects 23:45 final thoughts #cherryaudio #gx80 #review
