When this Framus Triumph electric double bass landed on my workbench, I honestly wasn’t sure I could save it. The strings were sky-high, the neck was unstable, and the fingerboard was peeling off. To make matters worse, the truss rod was beyond repair and had to be replaced entirely. This project pushed my skills to the limit. In this video, I take you through every step of the journey—from moments of doubt to crafting a new truss rod, reinforcing the neck with carbon inserts, and finally bringing this iconic instrument back to life.
