Checking the position of the apex beat. Auscultating of heart sounds and listening for cardiac murmurs. Examining the abdomen for abdominal aortic aneurysms and listening for evidence of pulmonary oedema which might be associated with heart failure This video demonstrates not merely the examination of the heart, but the complete cardiovascular system including its peripheries.
