English learners are often told to not use the word "very" because it's common. But then learners become unnecessarily nervous in conversations, and don't learn the native uses of words like thi. "Very" can mean a lot, or extremely. But natives also use "very" when emphasizing something, like "This is the very same place I found my keys yesterday." When you learn like a native English speaker, you can communicate more like one. :)
