Can we make chess better?

Let it be known that I don't even like chess. I learned how to play chess yesterday. I still don't know any strategies, BUT IT DOESN'T MATTER HERE. We came up with a way to play Chess kind of like a Roguelike, and it's HILARIOUS and actually fun! Disclaimer: This is not meant to trigger anyone who loves chess.
