Can the Behringer Wave PPG? Does it replicate 80s tech? and does it have to?

And if so, does it have to or can it sound more modern? The big ones (for me at least) are 1. Imaging on the low end 2. Aliasing at the top 3. Discrete waveshapes when modulating through the wavetables, and the 4. LFO. This isn't a full demo of every aspect - I've another video coming soon where I look in much more depth at how it all works, the synth architecture and the interface and menus.
