Named after the governor of New France, Louis de Buade (known as Count of Frontenac), Fairmont le Château Frontenac was built in 1893 and stands out as a prominent landmark in Quebec City, National Historic Site in Canada, and UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is perched on a tall cape overlooking the Saint Lawrence River, offering a spectacular view both of the river and cityscape that lends Canada an elegant touch of historic Europe. Recently modernized and restored, the hotel offers 611 guestrooms and suites. Soon, it will be celebrating its 125 anniversary!
