0:33:55 - Passing the famous Hell station. The station building and the ‘Gods Expedition’ are on The right hand side.
2:19:00 - From Sunnan we get beautiful scenery along Snåsavatnet, Norway's sixth largest lake.
3:05:30 - The journey along the Luru river offers wild and beautiful nature. There are quite a few tunnels here, but you still get a few glimpses of the river.
3:22:05 - Lovely view from the bridge as we cross the river Namsen at Bunes just north of Grong. From here, the Nordlandsbanen follows the river for about an hour.
4:26:50 - At Smalåsen we cross the county border from Trøndelag to Nordland, and thus enter Northern Norway.
5:13:55 -Trolldalen viaduct has ten spans, is 175 meters long and 40 meters high. It was built according to the same principle as the Eiffel Tower and was opened in 1938.
7:54:30 - Crossing the Arctic Circle at 680 masl at the mountain Saltfjellet.
8:10:03 - The descent from Lønsdal at the mountain Saltfjellet, where the railway line runs on a shelf high above the valley, is sceneric and remarkable.
