Cab Ride Zagreb - Sisak - Novska (Croatian Railways) - train driver's view in 4K

In this video you can enjoy the cab ride - train driver's view on Croatian Railways between the capital, Zagreb and the town of Novska via Sisak in 4K/60 frames per second. Today designated as M502 mainline, this 117km line is 2nd oldest railway line in Croatia, originally built between Zidani Most, Zagreb and Sisak in 1862. with extensions to Sunja and Novska following in 1880s. Over the years it has lost it’s mainline status towards east of Croatia and Serbia but with the planned major reconstruction and double tracking of M103 Dugo Selo - Novska mainline, this railway line is being repaired to provide additional capacity during the planned reconstruction. Line today supports speeds of up to 140km/h on segments between Zagreb and Sisak though local passenger trains as one in the video operate with maximum speed of 120km/h, with plans to increase the speeds on the remaining section from Sisak to Novska also above 100km/h with completion of turnout replacement, track upgrade and implementation of new signalling and control system. Repair works have been delayed due to major 6,4 earthquake in December 2020. which required additional repairs on river Kupa bridge in Sisak (1:01:18) and Sisak railway station (reconstruction work also discovered ancient Roman buildings) but should be completed in early 2024. allowing a major reconstruction work to start on parallel Dugo Selo - Novska mainline. Further plans for the line include reconstruction of Zagreb segment, adding several new stations in Zagreb urban area for local passenger traffic, including a major intermodal transit centre just north of river Sava bridge (Savski Most, 0:05:52), though first 4 kilometres of the line will be re-classified as second track of M202 Zagreb - Karlovac - Rijeka mainline.
