Cab ride Pilatus Bahn, Luzern Switzerland | Alpnachstad to Pilatus | 4K 60p HDR Train driver view

In this 4K HDR cab ride video, we present a train driver view of the Pilatus Bahn railway's journey between Alpnachstad and Mt. Pilatus mountain station. The Pilatus Bahn railway, commissioned in 1889, is the steepest cogwheel railway in the world as it runs a section of this track at almost 48 % gradient. It takes cleverly devised technology to move a train forward at such a steep gradient. The ingenious design with two horizontally rotating cogwheels made it possible. After all these years, the system shows hardly any signs of wear and remains practically unchanged.
