Budget Bushcraft Overnight Camp. Kit Yourself Out For Less Than £100. Raised Bed. Irish Stew.

In this video, I set up a bushcraft camp in order to test out a basic low cost bushcraft kit. I gave myself a budget of £100 to kit myself out with everything I would need in order to make myself comfortable in camp, making what I don’t have using the tools and equipment I bought. After making a raised bed and setting up my shelter, I process firewood and get a fire lit so that I can cook and keep warm. A hearty dinner of Irish stew and some cozy time beside the fire - a perfect way to spend an evening. I would love to say that I slept comfortably, however, my bed lacked cushioning - a nice soft layer of boughs or a sleeping pad would defiantly have improved things. I was, however nice and warm, thanks to the bed being elevated above the cold ground (and a warm sleeping bag!) The kit was basic and could definitely be improved and added to, but it certainly proves that you don’t need to spend a small fortune on bushcraft gear to get started. Look in surplus stores, eBay and at car boot sales for bargains - army surplus is usually a good choice. I hope you enjoy the video. Thanks for watching!
