Beet washing in the Cross Elephant chopper takes a turn for the worse immediately after starting with a swing gate on the beet elevator breaking and needing to be repaired and replaced. Steve and Harry complete the refit and eventually get up and running.
Ant in the JCB Fastrac and Pichon slurry tanker hit a problem straight away after 1 load moved for the day. A bearing on the suspension ram is damaged and needs to be replaced before it can be safety pulled again,
After this fix Steve and Will Lee do some maintenance work on the wheel hubs and studs.
Jamie and Will Lee bring the Vervaet Beeteater back to the yard after Jamie’s day of digging beet yesterday.
