Bookbinding from start to finish: The forest collection
This is my newest collection of three leatherbound journals. The three pieces are named Maple, Birch and Oak after the onlays I've chosen for them. As you might have guessed, I was inspired for the design during a walk in the forests near my hometown. The binding took me nearly a month for the whole set.
Some parts of the video are inaudible and some have really quiet ambient sounds. If you thought this is an artistic approach, do not confuse yourself, I am just bad at editing. The funny sounds you can hear at the end of the video while I am tooling are coming from my stove that heat the brass tools.
Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy the video as much as I enjoy binding! If you do, please subscribe, like and share your thoughts in the comments below. Thank you for your time!
