This is the first video in a series on modeling and texturing a RACE TRACK of sorts. The modeling will be done in Blender and the texturing will be done in Substance Painter.
The goal is to create part of the track (likely not the entire thing) and take a couple of static renders. I will be using the array modifier so that I only have to model and texture one section of the track and then array it along a curve to get the shape of the track. It won't overly high poly but it definitely won't be low poly. There are other ways to make a race track in a more modular approach that is lower poly and we may look at that another time.
As always, when I do the texturing on camera, I make some errors and will probably need to go back and tweak the textures.
