Blacksmithing : Hand Forging Door Knocker / Pull

I am sharing the process of hand forging a rustic door knocker or door pull, using traditional methods of blacksmithing, side draft forge and stone coal. Really love its old time look and sound! Many thanks to everyone voted for the best time length of our videos! As a result, this video is around 15 min, hope you will enjoy it! The video was filmed just before snow, now we are having loads of it! I used a rounding hammer and a heavier hammer for moving the metal, while a smaller hammer will be useful for riveting. Other blacksmithing tools that will be handy for this project are blacksmith vise and improvised twisting tools, tongs for different grips, wooden hammer and wooden block for leveling the ring part. No power hammer needed for this project.
