Owning a Volkswagen Golf R32 is a tempting proposition, from its highly practical Mk5 Golf platform, to the lovely 3.2 V6 motor shared with the Audi TT, to its AWD and excellent handling, and all for surprisingly affordable prices compared to other hot hatches with similar sized engines... But when it comes to actually buying and living with one, what is it really like? And what can you expect in the way of both good and bad points as a trade off to driving one of the largest capacity hatchbacks of the 2000's era?
