Beautiful Stone Driveway: One of The Nicest Driveways we’ve Ever Done!

Hi Guys, thanks for joining us once again. This is one of my favourite drives we’ve ever done. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I did creating it. I love the materials and how they blend together and sit with the house. The main drive is done using a driveway grade Indian stone, laid on a solid mortar bed, which sits on a 75mm deep concrete sub base, then under that another 75mm of Type 1 sub base. We jointed the paving with Flowpoint smooth. The path is laid using Italian Porphyry 6/8 cubes from CED in a series of fan patterns, carefully planned to be equally spaced through the path. We laid these on a dry mix and compacted and part filled them with as we went.
