All of our content is family friendly and safe for everyone to enjoy. In today's video we finish building our new front deck on our 1988 Palm Harbor single wide mobile home! We are building a wooden cantilever deck that is free standing and does not attach to the mobile home. The final dimensions of the deck will be 7 feet wide by 7 feet long. This kind of deck is also called post and beam. Today's video covers the deck footer digging, deck foundation cement pouring, setting deck posts, building a deck beam, and framing the deck joists for the floor with double rim joists. It also includes the various Simpson Strong-Tie hardware to make this deck code compliant to pass inspection.
