Why in the world would you need a snowmobile to bake bread? Well, I'll show you! Come spend some time with me in the kitchen as I bake two loaves of prizeworthy egg bread. It's one of my favorite breads due to it's excellent flavor, tender crumb and absolute reliability! Are you up for discovering your new favorite bread? All the ingredients needed are listed below. Tips and tricks for bringing it all together are in the video. Hungry yet? Dough: 1/2 ounce active dry yeast 1/2 cup warm water (110 - 115 degrees Fahrenheit) 1 1/2 cups warm 2% milk (110 - 115 degrees Fahrenheit) 3 large eggs, room temperature 1/4 cup softened butter 1/4 cup granulated sugar 1 tablespoon salt 7 - 7 1/2 cups all-purpose flour Glazing: 1 large egg 2 tablespoons water Sesame seeds & Course Sea Salt Make dough (see video) Let rise for 1 1/2 - 2 hours to double in size Punch down dough and form braided loaves (see video) Cover lightly and let rise for 50 minutes Bake at 375 F for 30 -35 minutes Now dance the "I have two fists full of fresh bread" boogie and ENJOY! :-) To give credit where credit is due, I found this recipe through Taste of Home years ago. It's credited to June Mullins from Livonia, Missouri. Thank You, June! If you’re interested in the nuts and bolts of how to be more self-sufficient, this channel is for you.
