Azure DevOps - Use ITEM TEMPLATES to create User Stories & Requirements with prefilled values
A handy trick I picked up while working with some clever Business Analysts is the ability to pre-populate your User Stories with some default values. In this video, you can see how I can create a new User Story and prefill the "Description" and "Acceptance Criteria" fields with some pre-defined value to help the team being consistent when writing User Stories. You can apply this techniques to pre-populate any other item in Azure DevOps boards like "Epics", "Features", or "Bugs", etc. RESOURCES: • Azure DevOps Boards - With with Item Templates: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/devops/boards/backlogs/work-item-template OUTLINE 0:00 Intro 0:43 Using Item Templates to prefill User Stories 2:27 How to create a new Item Template --- CONNECT WITH ME Using my step-by-step process, I help leaders understand the right business problems to solve and ideate, design, prototype and test viable IT solutions using Microsoft Applications and the Power Platform. • Website: https://danikahil.com/ • LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/danikahil/ --- #microsoft | #innovation | #dynamics365 | #design | #powerplatform • Subscribe to my channel if you like my content. • Direct Message me to get in touch.
