Auto Retracting Thread Cutter.

This is how I made an experimental hi-speed thread cutter, it is designed to be mechanically triggered so that it retracts away from the threads to a safe distance, It was designed to be simple and repeatable. The thread cutter will allow the threads to be cut at a fairly hi-speed and give me plenty of time to stop the lathe afterwards, I also wanted to get away with altering the tool post just to cut a thread. Cutting a thread is now cleaner, easier, faster and safer than ever before. In my videos, I show you what I went through while making the items, I never tell any one how to do things, because no two people have the same equipment, materials or time.
