A 2021 Bankwest Survey found that 60% of Australians would prefer to live in a free-standing house, with only 15% choosing apartments. But with our cities sprawling out of control, and a housing supply shortage that is fuelling our housing and rental crisis...our cities have no choice but to start going up. Australians are probably going to have to get over their dislike of apartments if we want any hope of continuing to house millions of people in our cities.
